   This drives me crazy. I was looking at these stills today. Series 1 Episode 1. The Pilot. The question is: WHY, if Lenny was meant to be right from the start (as our lovely writers and cast members told us for episode 100) Penny is not looking at Leonard but Sheldon? And she’s smiling at him. For goddamn’s sake, just look at how she’s looking at him! *asdfghjkl* Sometimes when I see some TBBT photoshoots where Jim and Kaley are extremely close, I say to myself: “OK, the writers are not there, they do what the photographers want them to do” but here, those shoots were taken on the set. The writers were there. And we have these pictures of Penny totally into Sheldon. Because this, for me, is as obvious as the board scene of the episode (Sheldon eyesexing her while leaning against his board). If you never watched TBBT and see these stills before watching the episode, the first thing on your mind would be: “okay, the blonde girl will fall for the tall geeky guy she’s looking at so lovingly”. That’s why I think that the writers wanted Penny and Sheldon together. At some point, they thought about it. It can’t be something else. Not with all the things that happened in the pilot. They can tell me as much as they want that Leonard and Penny were meant to be right from the start, I’ll never believe them. Never.
